Black Children’s Book Week Discussion

I haven’t seen any wide-ranging discussions on representation in books for children with special needs. It brings me joy to participate in bringing this topic to the table. The more I speak about the importance of black children’s books the more critical I realize pushing this agenda becomes. It shouldn’t just be important for black children but for all children.
